Charm Foundation

Our Expertise

CHARM FOUNDATION (Non-Profit · Water, Sanitation & Hygiene)

is a purpose-driven non-profit advancing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene across Bangladesh, alongside environmental protection and community development.

Supported by the Unissol Group and its engineering companies, Charm Foundation does something most WASH organisations cannot: it builds the infrastructure itself. Treatment plants, public sanitation facilities, emergency water supply — designed and installed to the same standard as commercial projects, then handed to communities with the training to keep them running. We work with communities, volunteers, technical experts and partner organisations to create solutions that work in real life, and keep working for generations.

Our goal is simple yet profound

Every number represents people, partnerships, and communities working toward a healthier and more sustainable Bangladesh.

Our Vision

A Bangladesh where every community has access to safe water, proper sanitation, healthy living conditions and a protected environment — reached through collaboration, innovation, and the belief that lasting change begins with empowered communities.

Our Mission

To improve public health and protect the environment through practical, community-led WASH solutions — expanding access to safe water and sanitation, promoting responsible wastewater management, and equipping communities to lead lasting change themselves.

Our Services

What We Do

Connecting water, public health, environmental protection and community development into solutions that improve lives and protect the planet.

Safe Water

Expanding access to clean drinking water through sustainable treatment, quality monitoring, emergency supply during disasters, and community-led solutions that keep running after we leave.

Sanitation & Hygiene

Public toilets, bathing facilities and hygiene education — built where open defecation is still a daily reality, and designed so women and girls can use them safely and with dignity.

Wastewater Solutions

Sewage treatment plants installed in dense, underserved areas where untreated waste flows straight into lakes, canals and the sea — stopping pollution at its source.

Disaster Response & Emergency Relief

When floods cut communities off from clean water, we deploy portable purification that makes flood water drinkable on site — alongside hygiene kits, relief supplies and help rebuilding once the water drops.

Health & Education Support

Medical costs met for families who cannot meet them, and scholarships and school materials for children at risk of dropping out — the two things that stop a household sliding backwards after a setback.

Environmental Action

Protecting rivers, canals and coastal waters through pollution prevention, conservation and research — giving communities the evidence they need to defend their own environment.

Circular Economy

Turning waste into resources, livelihoods and green employment through recovery, reuse and local innovation — treating what is discarded as something with value still in it.

Livelihoods & Self-Reliance

Sewing machines, rickshaws, small-business capital and skills training — moving families from receiving support to earning independently, so the next crisis does not undo the last recovery.

Our Expertise

The Strength Behind Our Work

Built with people, made to last — combining engineering capability with community ownership so that what we install keeps working long after handover.

Engineering Capability

Access to the same treatment technology and technical teams as the group’s commercial projects

Community Co-creation

We design solutions with local partners, not for them — beginning with the people who know the problem

Local Maintenance Systems

Every installation gets a local maintenance arrangement, so it runs without our presence

Measured Outcomes

Progress monitored and outcomes recorded — how many reached, not how much was spent

The Charm Foundation Difference

Why Partner with Us

Infrastructure that lasts, communities that own it, and a record you can check.

We Build, Not Just Advocate

Treatment plants and sanitation facilities installed and commissioned, not reports written

Communities as Partners

Designed with local people, maintained by them, owned by them

Infrastructure That Outlasts Us

Assets that serve for decades, not distributions consumed in a day

Technical Standards

Built to Department of Environment discharge standards, with engineering expertise behind every installation

Documented and Accountable

Every program recorded with location, date and expenditure; reporting to the NGO Affairs Bureau

Our Impact

Clean water and a healthy environment are not privileges. They are the foundation for health, dignity, education and opportunity. Where we work, untreated sewage no longer flows into lakes and coastal waters, families have sanitation they can use safely, and children miss fewer school days to waterborne illness.

Every installation is built to serve for decades, maintained by the community that uses it. That is the measure we hold ourselves to — not how much was spent, but how many lives changed and whether the change is still there in five years.
