Most conglomerates diversify to spread risk across unrelated industries. Unissol Group diversified around a theme. The name is short for United Sustainable Solutions, and its eight divisions are connected less by shared customers than by a shared test: does this business leave the country better resourced than it found it?
What is Unissol Group?
Unissol Group, short for United Sustainable Solutions, is a Bangladeshi conglomerate operating eight specialised divisions: environmental engineering and wastewater treatment, construction and industrial supply, real estate development, e-commerce and IT solutions, creative agency and marketing, textile chemistry and sustainable manufacturing, security solutions and facility management, and international trade and industrial equipment. The group states its core values as sustainability, integrity, innovation, collaboration and excellence.
The eight divisions
• Environmental Engineering & Wastewater Treatment — Charm Ltd. Founded in 2013, Charm delivers sewage, effluent and water treatment plants and sludge handling systems, drawing on engineering expertise from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand and Germany. It has since extended into renewable energy.
• Construction & Industrial Supply — Revenco, CCCL. Revenco supplies STP raw materials and modules, FRP products, cement and roofing materials, and trades industrial machinery, equipment and chemicals.
• Real Estate Development — Revenco Holdings. Established in 2016, it handles property development end to end: planning, architectural design, construction, finishing and project management.
• E-commerce & IT Solutions — Tizaraa. An online retail platform carrying more than 11,000 products, serving customers nationwide with cash on delivery.
• Creative Agency & Marketing — Creatif. Brand, content, search and performance marketing for the group’s companies and for external clients.
• Textile Chemistry & Sustainable Manufacturing — Colormatch BD. Close to three decades of technical service to the Bangladeshi textile industry, focused on cutting water and energy consumption in dyeing and finishing.
• Security Solutions & Facility Management — GLX IT Solutions. Security systems and facility management covering [[service scope: guarding, CCTV and access control, housekeeping, maintenance]].
• International Trade & Industrial Equipment — Lamp Overseas. Import, sourcing and supply of industrial equipment across [[name the product categories and the source markets]].
What actually connects them
Three threads run through the portfolio. The first is environmental infrastructure: treating water on the way in, treating it on the way out, and generating power without burning anything. The second is the built asset lifecycle, covering material supply, construction, development, and the security and maintenance that follow handover. The third is capability import — bringing proven international technology into Bangladesh with local engineering and after-sales behind it, rather than selling equipment and leaving.
That third thread is what makes diversification useful rather than decorative. A group that already handles customs clearance, technical selling and site execution in one sector can apply the same machinery in another.
What it looks like on a real project
In June 2026, Charm BD signed a distribution and EPC partnership with Midsummer Siam, the Bangkok-based regional arm of Swedish solar manufacturer Midsummer AB, bringing thin-film solar technology to Bangladesh. The agreement was signed aboard the M.V. Malangi, an eco-tourism vessel powered by that technology and launched on 25 June at a sustainability event focused on the Sundarbans, attended by the Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh. The stated scope of the partnership extends to commercial and industrial rooftop solar, government facilities, ports and maritime applications, floating and near-water installations, and climate resilience projects.
One vessel is a small project. What it demonstrates is the operating model: an international technology partner, a local company that can install and service the system, and an application chosen because conventional equipment does not fit.
Working with more than one division
Projects that cross verticals are where a group structure earns its keep. A textile mill may need effluent treatment, imported process chemistry, rooftop solar and facility security. Sourced separately, that is four contracts and four accountability chains. Sourced through one group, the coordination sits inside the organisation.
FAQ
What does Unissol stand for?
Unissol is short for United Sustainable Solutions, a Bangladeshi conglomerate operating eight divisions across environmental engineering, construction, real estate, e-commerce and IT, marketing, textile chemistry, security and facility management, and international trade.
What sectors does Unissol Group work in?
Eight: environmental engineering and wastewater treatment, construction and industrial supply, real estate development, e-commerce and IT solutions, creative agency and marketing, textile chemistry and sustainable manufacturing, security solutions and facility management, and international trade and industrial equipment.
